Resulted from the innovative thinking,
service oriented organizational formation, co-ordination among
various organizations, work load, inappropriate ratio of the
civil personnel in land management sector, the then HMG/N
decided to re-structure the organizational structure of the
Ministry and its line agencies in 2057 B.S. after a broad
review work. The following were the impacts of this re-structuring:
Department of Land Reform and Management was established after
the unification of Land
Revenue Department and Land Reform Department.
Department of Land Information and Archive was established
after the unification
of Land Information System Project (working under Ministry)
and Central Archive (working
underSurvey Department).
The Survey Training Center, which was working under Survey
Department, got the form of
a department name as Land Management Training Centre.
This Centre was established for
widening the scope of the previous Survey
Training Centreand producing skilled manpower on Land Management,
Land Survey and Mapping and Geo-information. Click
here to see detail about the departments under the Ministry
of Land Reform and Management.
The Ministry, at the central level, consists of three divisions:
General Administration Division, Land Management Division
and Planning, Monitoring and Co-ordination Division. Click
