Work Division Regulation of Government of Nepal , 2064 has defined Ministry of Land Reform and Management the following areas:

  
   
  The policies, plans,implementation and monitoring and evaluation related       to Land Reform and Management.
  
  Land Revenue and Registration.
  
  Land Registration.
  National and International issues related to land.
  
  Administration and trainings related to land survey and mapping.
  
  Distribution of the amount collected up to now from compulsory saving      plan, loan distribution and realization of debt.
  
  Conducting Geodetic survey, production of topographic maps, aerial      survey and related data.
  
  Management of Guthi Corporation and the land owned by it.
  
  Activities related to homeless people.
  
  Appointment, transfer, making qualification criteria's and promotion for      Nepal  Engineering Service, Survey Group.
